- The obverse shows Lady Liberty with the sun behind her. She has a staph in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. the words “LIBERTY” are above her head.
- The reverse shows a bald eagle flying through the sky with the sun behind it. the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “TWENTY DOLLARS” is written above the eagles head. The words “IN GOD WE TRUST” are engraved at the bottom.
