The Royal Mint has recently released this newest Royal Tudor Beasts series, following their wildly popular Queen’s Beasts series which ended recently. At the end of the War of the Roses, a new dynasty was born. After the House of Lancaster overcame the House of York, these kingdoms were united by the marriage of Henry VII to Elizabeth of York. To further legitimize the Tudor legacy, heraldic symbols were placed at Hampton Court Palace and one of these is the Lion of England. This 2022 10 oz. Silver Tudor Lion of England is the second coin in this new series and it represents English pride, courage, strength and dignity.
